Most Famous Venice Instagram Spots 2022

Most Famous Venice Instagram Spots 2022

I honestly do not even know how to start, as it’s been a hell of a long time ago since I wrote a blog post. I have been very active on social media, like Instagram and I have been posting twice a week on my Youtube channel, so if you missed me make sure you say hi there !:)

I shared a lot of my content on Instagram and YouTube about our latest trip to Italy. We started our trip with Venice then travelled over to Verona and as our last stop, we visited Cinque Terre.

Today’s post will be all about the gorgeous and very picturesque, Venice. Venice is like a real maze it’s very easy to get lost in the narrow streets and even though we followed google maps nonstop we still managed to get lost a few times. Of course, this doesn’t make it easy to find the best photography spots in the city.
Luckily, I managed to shoot a lot of content as I did my research so I thought some of you might appreciate this guide below for your next trip.

1. St. Mark’s Square

St. Mark’s Square is also known as Piazza San Marco which is the biggest square in Venice.
Of course, this is one of the most popular spots in Venice so if you want to shoot with fewer people in the back be prepared for early mornings. We arrived at 6 am and we had about 8-10 people around us. The square is also the home to some of the most famous buildings in the city, such as St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.

2. Ponte Dei Sospiri
This beautiful enclosed limestone bridge is a very popular location. Located near the St. Mark’s Square. Try to get there as early as possible as this area gets very busy very quickly.

3. Libreria Acqua Alta

Aqua Alta Bookshop is one of the most unique places I have ever seen. Whilst I was searching for this place I this covered that this bookstore gets flooded during autumn and winter, can you believe it?! Try to go as early as possible as the bookshop gets very crowded during the day with extremely long queues. Unfortunately, we did not make it on time so whilst this picture was taken there was an extremely long queue behind me and I was only allowed one photo so we had to be quick.

4. The Insta-famous pier
Due to Instagram, this pier has become one of the most iconic places in Venice. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a name so it’s a bit hard to find. It’s a very hidden gem spot so you can visit it any time of the day as it’s not as busy as other spots. I have added this to my map here so you can find it too.

5. Pier near Rialto Bridge
Another hidden gem in Venice. Of course, the Rialto Bridge is a very popular landmark in Venice and it doesn’t get quite useless if you go very early mornings but this spot is just perfect to take an Insta-worthy photo without the crowds.

6. Bridge near Gelatoteca Suso
I would highly recommend visiting the Instagram famous ice cream place called Gelatoteca Suso.
It’s honestly very delicious and very picturesque. This bridge is located near Libreria Acqua Alta so I would highly recommend visiting this spot after the bookstore.

7. Gondola Traghetto di Riva del Vin
If you are in Venice you cannot miss The Grand canal. The Grand Canal is also one of the prettiest parts of Venice as well as the gondola stations along the canal. It’s located near the Rialto Bridge.

8. Canals at Ponte de La Verona
I was absolutely in love with every single corner, canal and bridge around Venice. I was actually asking Carl to take pictures at literally every stop because it’s just such a picturesque city, but of course, we didn’t have the time for all so I just had to pick a few like this beautiful spot near Ponte de La Verona.

9. Ponte Degli Scalzi
We stayed in Mestre so we travelled to Venice daily for only a euro or two. As soon as we arrived at the train station we came across this gorgeous bridge.

10. Ponte Del Parucheta
Again another beautiful bridge and canal area that is worth stopping by to take some snaps for your Instagram.

11. Canal Campo San Boldo
This was one of my favourite spots to shoot from as there was nobody around, the wisteria on the side of the wall was in bloom and it was just such a quiet and hidden spot. If you are visiting Ponte Del Parucheta you will most likely run into this spot.

I created a custom map for you that contains all the best Venice Instagram spots with their exact location as I have mentioned above.
As usually if you use my guide please don’t forget to tag me on Instagram I would love to see your great photos!
