Welcome to my new office

Welcome to my new office

Welcome everyone to my new office. I have been working for almost a month on this project now and while i's not entirely done yet, I'm so glad to show you all. I worked on this refurbishment with a company called Graham & Brown. If you are based in the UK, I'm very certain that you heard about them. If you haven't, let me introduce them.
They are a wall decoration group that celebrated its 75 years of innovation in 2020.
They are very famous for their wallpapers and their premium paint collection. Their wallpaper patterns designed to partner perfectly with their huge range of wall paints.

I decorated my entire office with Carl's help a few months ago starting with the basics. We plastered the walls, laid new flooring, fitted a new radiator, added extra sockets, rewired the lighting and created using Billy units from Ikea an entire wall of shelves and storage. I was in a rush to create a space for myself where I can work in peace, so I ended using whatever materials I found in our garage to finish everything up. It was during lockdown so the deliveries were taking way too long to order new paint, so I found this minty green colour from Valspar. While the colour itself it's gorgeous it's just not for me. I cannot actually remember when I bought that paint or what I was planning to do with it.
From the first day I moved in I knew this not going to work for me. I wanted this space to be entirely my design. However, that shade of green just wasn't the style I wanted.

Whilst mint green didn't work out I knew I wanted to stick with the green shade. I started browsing online and I found this perfect mossy green and at first glance, I knew this is the colour I wanted to have around me.

The paint is from Graham & Brown and it's called Battle green. This shade of dark green has a tint of yellow, like moss. It complements neutrals such as white. I used Battle on the panelled bottom walls and picked a shade of white for the middle, called Angel dust. These two colour shades are quite literally made for each other.

Wall panels bring luxury and charm to any room. I love adding wall panels that are decorative in inexpensive, is versatile and brings out the best look of the place where it is used.

You can use decorative wall panels in any room of your house. I also have a tutorial right here. To create an even more deep texture with the panels I picked an even deeper shade of moss green from Frenchic Al fresco collection. It's called Constance Moss.

When I was planning my office I actually created the entire design around my fifth wall, the ceiling. Wallpapering the ceiling can add character and appear to adjust a room's proportions for the better. It's also a great way to add pattern or colour to any room. I knew that I want to go with a dramatic flowery paper. As I said earlier before Graham & Brown they are famous for their wallpapers. As soon as I found this Bouquet vintage floral paper with a shimmering finish and mossy green warm undertones I knew this is the one. I love how the delicacy boasting through this paper but also showing a bit of drama. I couldn't be happier with the finished results.
