Say goodbye to dry skin this winter with these products

Say goodbye to dry skin this winter with these products

Things that make winter wonderful, such as sitting by the fire, taking a hot steamy shower to warm up after a nice, long walk in a snowy park (Certainly not in the UK) can damage our skin.
The cold weather outside can leave our skin raw and itchy while be inside in our homes zaps moisture from the air and our skin.
Winter is definitely not fun for the skin, the harsh wind that we have in the UK makes the situation even worse, and without immediate care, dry skin can lead to cracking and bleeding or even eczema. One of the main solution to solve this issue is to stay hydrated.
I am sure that you don't feel that thirsty during winter as in the summer, I have the same problem too.
This is why I have listed some of my other tips that you can follow to keep your skin hydrated and happy during the cold season.

Taking a hot shower is one of my favourite things in the cold winter.
However, it is one of the worst things we can do for our skin, as it obs the natural oils from your skin, leaving it dry and flaky so if possible try to choose lukewarm water to wash your face.

Picking the right skincare products for our skin is the key to healthy skin all year around.
I always try to change the products accordingly to the seasons.
I realised that the products I use during summer months don't mean I can use it during the colder months.

Toning:

Choose cleansers that contain some moisturisers, if you have acne or breakouts like me use products that have either hyaluronic acid, hydration serums or glycerin.
Avoid using toner that contains alcohol or fragrances as they can further dry your skin during winter.
My new favourite toner is Caudalie's Moisturising Toner, and it's absolutely perfect for winter.
One of the ingredients is a wine yeast that soaks up water pretty quick, therefore, helps you to hydrate your skin.

Face cream:

Face creams, masks are my absolute favourite skincare products.
We all know that moisturising is essential, but it's also crucial to get the right one for our skin type.
I recently purchased the Neutrogena Hydro boost, which quickly becomes one of my favourite face creams.
It has a gel texture, and it's formulated with hyaluronic acid, that I mentioned above helps you to fight with your acne and breakouts as well as hydrating the skin. It works well with all skin types.
It's available both in SPF and none SPF versions.

Lip balm:

As soon as winter kicks in my lips start to crack and I find super hard to heal them.
I used to apply vaseline as a moisturising balm, but it never actually helped me to keep my lips from getting chapped.
I tried so many different lip balms, but nothing seemed to work when one day one of my friends introduced me to Blistex.
I cannot live without my Blistex MedPlus Repairing Lip Balm since that day.
It helped me to repair my cracked lips in no time.

Body lotions:

Neutrogena has long been one of my favourite brands when it comes to moisturising and keeping my skin hydrated, so of course, no surprise there that I purchase the Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream as a body lotion.
It also contains hyaluronic acid.
The best way to moisture is right after wash, applying moisturiser to damp skin helps you to lock the moisture in.
However, as much as I love this product, the last thing I have in my mind after a hot shower is my sorry complections.
Once I'm out of the shower, I want to get straight into my pj's faster than speed light.

The Norwegian Formula Deep Moisture Express Body Mist, again from Neutrogena is my all-time favourite.
I can just spray directly onto wet skin, and because it absorbs instantly, I can get into my pyjamas straight away.

Hand creams:

Moisturising my body feels like a chore sometimes, but once winter comes along, I can feel that my body is screaming for help.
The constant heating indoors, the cold winds outside and of course, the lack of vitamin D doesn't leave my skin feel luxurious and smooth, not to mention my hands. To replenish my hard-working hands(haha), I use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand Cream.
I didn't mean to write about my strong love with Neutrogena, but I use a lot of their products, and I find them lifesavers in the cold winter months. Perfect for seriously dry hands.
It's also Uk's favourite hand cream.

Supplements:

Collagen is an essential building block for our entire body, from the skin to gut and that this helps us to stay as healthy as possible.
This is why if your skin, hair or nails need a boost all the beauty experts will suggest you all sort of collagen powders, capsules, liquid or Injections. So, I'm sure you all heard about the benefits of collagen, but have you know anything about Hyaluronic acid?

As I have been fighting with acne for several years now, even that I'm one of those lucky ones who doesn't have as much, anytime I hear about something new that might be a solution for my problem There is no doubt that I will give it a go.
This is how I heard about Hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that is naturally present in the human body.
Well known for its skin benefits, such as dry skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and speeding up wound healing.
(if you would like to know more about the Hyaluronic acid's benefits click here.)
So, taking a supplement every day of Hyaluronic Acid, especially during the colder seasons when your skin needs plumped will not only help you with your dry skin but will benefit you even in the long run.
Fountain's La Molecule Hyaluronique is my personal favourite "miracle water".
I usually take two teaspoons which is 10ml per day, mix it with my morning orange juice or just water.
Do not use it with dairy products.
Two teaspoon serving contains 130mg of vegan-friendly hyaluronic acid.
1 bottle usually enough for about three weeks for me.
