Winter Wonderland themed Christmas tree

Winter Wonderland themed Christmas tree

I invest quite a lot of my time planning the perfect Christmas tree every year.
Make a decision on the colour scheme, the perfect spot for it, find the right ornaments, tree topper and the rest of the decorations that make the tree the real focal point in our home.
It is a bit of a challenge to pick a nice spot in our home as it's always undergoing some sort of refurbishment.
We tend to refurbish the house from room to room, including the furniture and decor which might slows down the process a tiny bit.

We actually moved in just a couple of days before Christmas Eve in 2017 which makes this the second Christmas together in our first home.
The kitchen refurbishment was a long process with many nightmares so as soon as we finished that we jumped right into the next project the dining room.
As this is the newest part of the house that just got an update I wanted to spend Christmas in this room.

As I have mentioned in my previous post, this going to be a super special Christmas for us.
I finally spend this magical day with my family after six years.
Even though it is a small part of my family, but at least I can have my parents around me.
Not to mention that I just got the best present ever.
Carl made one of my longest wish come true since I was a little girl.
I got my own beautiful pug, called Happy.

As so many reasons to be jolly on this day I wanted to make it even extra more special with the decoration. Last year I dressed our tree from Wayfair in classic Christmas colours. Red and white. We had a Nordic-themed Christmas tree in our kitchen. Click here to check it out if you missed it.

Baby blue paired with snowy white ornaments create the perfect base for a cosy, winter wonderland. I buy new tree decorations every year, so I don't buy expensive ones.
I keep everything, so I can mix and match if I ever feel like to for the next year.
I always buy non-breakable ornaments. They are actually super handy now for puppy-proofing the tree.
I got these baby blue, silver and white ornaments in a pack from B&M. I picked up various sizes from the same colour scheme. Then I popped into Tesco to buy some
sparkly blue and silver ornaments so this way I could add a luxurious and sophisticated touch to the whole tree.
To make the tree feels exceptionally elegant, I like to use ribbons.
To lean into the colours of the season, I sweep some navy blue ribbons around the twigs here and there. I love adding ribbons to the tree; it looks so beautiful when it twinkles with the lights. I always buy my ribbons from Aliexpress. You can get some charming and premium quality ribbons on a low budget.

These frosty white palette decorations refine the snowy wonderland.
I actually used these frosted pine cones and snow-dusted branches last year on the Nordic tree, so I gathered all those decorations from the boxes to add them to this year's Christmas tree.
This gives an ultimate festive look to the entire tree as well.
This creates the perfect festive centrepiece in our dining room.
