10 Important Life Lessons I Learned From My Dad

Since Father's day is on Sunday, I want to bring to mind some valuable life lessons I learned from my dad. He is such an amazing person, and he always has been my biggest supporter.
My mum loves to share old memories from the time before I was even around, and I have always loved listening to these stories. Like the one from the day I was born,13th of April 1994 it was a Wednesday morning, my dad biggest and happiest day ever. No exaggeration. He used these words according to my mum. His biggest dream was to have a daughter after 3 boys; his excitement was understandable.haha
He was actually that excited that he popped down to nearest telephone box to tell the entire family my arrival, but due to his overexcitement, he shut the door too hard, so the glass in the whole telephone box cracked and shattered. Of course, he ended up paying for that...
He hates this story, but he is undoubtedly still the happiest guy on the planet, I mean I like to believe in that. (haha)
He has been encouraging me to be the person I want to be while supporting me without any doubts throughout my life. I'm so thankful that I have a dad like him and all those life advice he has passed down onto me because, without these, I would not be the women who I am today.

1) Never quit.
I admire my dad for his persistence. If he wants to get something done, no matter what he will find a way. As he always says: Practice is the only way to get better and that things don't happen overnight.

2) Follow my dreams.
He always has been supportive of me, and he's always encouraged me to think about who I am and who I want to be in the future. No matter what I've been doing, my dad always helped me to do what I love.

3) Keep learning.
He taught me that life is about learning. He taught me no one is ever too old to learn, so I bought him his very first iPhone last year as he used to have one of those super ugly, super old builder phones.haha
Well, that new phone has kept him busy with challenges.

4) No limits.
He taught me I can do anything I put my mind up to. This lesson helped me a lot throughout my life.

5) Work hard.
If you want something work hard for it because nothing comes without a lot of hard work and nobody knows this more than my dad. He is literally the most hardworking person I know. So proud that I'm his daughter.

6) Be honest.
My dad always says to speak my mind, but not everyone loves this ability.
Like father, like daughter if he has an option about something, he'll tell you about it. Definitely, don't have to worry about that.

7) Love.
He taught me that "I love you" means more when you show it. He doesn't say I love you much.
However, I never doubted him that he does.

8) Appreciate.
Always appreciate what you have. It's also important to express your thankfulness and gratitude all the time.

9) Be brave
He always says that you cannot always stay strong, and that's okay. Braveness in my dad's eyes is when you scared of something, but you still dare to face it.
I admire his braveness.

10) Independent
He taught me that independence comes with a lot of responsibility, and he allowed me to learn that the hard way.

You all can see how amazing my dad is, he inspired me in so many ways.

Happy Father's day, dad! Miss you loads. Can't wait to see you next month.
